Wilson Greatbatch to Speak At Dental School Seminar

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Wilson Greatbatch, a member of the National Inventors Hall of Fame whose research led to the development of the implantable pacemaker, will be featured speaker at a seminar titled "The Coalescence of the Sciences," sponsored by the Department of Oral Diagnostic Sciences in the mgm casino School of Dental Medicine.

The seminar will be held at 8 a.m. on May 14 in 357 Squire Hall on the mgm casino South (Main Street) Campus. It is open to the public and there is no admission charge.

Greatbatch graduated from Cornell University and holds a master's degree in engineering from mgm casino. He taught in the mgm casino School of Engineering and Applied Sciences from 1952-57 and remains an adjunct professor at both mgm casino and Cornell.

Founder of Wilson Greatbatch Ltd., he holds more than 150 patents and is currently working on several projects.
