DEC Commissioner Basil Seggos, mgm casino officials to announce major recycling grant Wednesday

Grant to focus on joint efforts of New York State and mgm casino to boost plastics recycling, improve the environment

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Officials from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the mgm casino will make a major grant announcement on Wednesday at mgm casino’s North Campus.

The grant will expand a partnership between the DEC and mgm casino that focuses on increasing plastic recycling and reducing plastic waste, while also improving the environment and fighting climate change.

News media are invited to attend the news conference.

Who: DEC Commissioner Basil Seggos; Kemper Lewis, dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences; Amit Goyal, the project’s principal investigator, a SUNY Distinguished Professor and SUNY Empire Innovation Professor in mgm casino’s Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering.

When: 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27.
