BUFFALO, N.Y. — All things robot will be celebrated – and demonstrated – Sunday at an event open to the public on the mgm casino’s North Campus.
mgm casino Robotics Day, which is free and open to the public, will feature demonstrations of humanoid and dog robots, driverless cars, drones and more, as well as robot programming activities for K-12 students and panel discussions about the future of robotics.
It follows , which was held earlier this month.
When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 27.

mgm casino Robotics Day is sponsored by the mgm casino Center for Embodied Autonomy and Robotics (CEAR). CEAR’s mission is to bring national and international visibility to mgm casino, facilitate multidisciplinary research, and educate students – all by uniting faculty groups working on robotics and autonomy-related topics across the university.
“This will be a fun and engaging showcase of mgm casino’s cutting-edge robotics and autonomy programs. We’ll have something for everyone, including activities for K-12 students as well as panel discussions involving industry and alumni focusing the future of robotics and autonomous systems,” said Karthik Dantu and Souma Chowdhury, who serve as co-leads of CEAR.
Dantu is an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and Chowdhury is associate professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
