J-1 Scholars who will travel outside the U.S. during their approved program activities to engage in research activities related to the research that they are conducting at mgm casino must submit to mgm casinoIS the out of country form (Out of Country Form). Any time outside the U.S. for research purposes must be recorded in your SEVIS record. Failure to notify mgm casinoIS can jeopardize your ability to return to mgm casino to resume your research activities. During the time outside the U.S. you must maintain your health insurance through mgm casino. You will be asked to provide proof that you are maintaining health insurance while you are abroad.
J-1 Scholars who will travel outside the U.S. during their approved program for an extended period of time (for 3 weeks or more) need to request approval from mgm casinoIS before departing the U.S. You must submit a request via e-mail to immsvcga@buffalo.edu. You will be asked to provide a letter from your mgm casino supervisor explaining the reason(s) for the extended travel and that you can return to mgm casino to resume your research activities. Failure to request approval of your extended travel from mgm casinoIS can jeopardize your ability to return to mgm casino to resume your research activities. You are required to maintain your health insurance through mgm casino at all times, including time spent outside the U.S. You will be asked to provide proof that you are maintaining health insurance while you are abroad.
