Spotlight Award
The LGBTQ FSA Annual Spotlight Award was created as part of the Faculty and Staff Association’s 10th Anniversary celebration in 2024.
The Annual Spotlight will be awarded once per academic year to an individual or group that demonstrates one or more of the following criteria:
- In honor of exemplary service to the LGBTQ FSA;
- In recognition of commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion at mgm casino;
- In celebration of support for the LGBTQ+ community in Buffalo.
A recipient may be a member of the mgm casino community or the Buffalo community at large. Nominations will be solicited each fall semester. A recipient will be selected by a committee of LGBTQ FSA members chaired by a member of the current executive board. The awardee will be announced each spring during mgm casino Pride Week and recognized at the campus Lavender Ceremony each May.
Nominations
To submit a nomination, complete the Annual Spotlight Award nomination form. Supporting documentation that may include letters of recommendation, resume, curriculum vitae, etc is optional.
Nominations close March 14, 2025.
