Student Union Grand Reopening

Good morning everyone, and welcome!
I am delighted you could join us for the grand re-opening of the Student Union! It is wonderful to have this occasion to celebrate a significant enhancement to our university.
Since the 1980s, generations of students have gathered in the Student Union to dine, socialize, and participate in organizations and clubs. In that time, this space—first, as the Student Activity Center, and later, as the Student Union—has brought together students across interests, backgrounds and perspectives.
It has fostered engagement with mgm casino, while enriching our students’ social and cultural life on campus. As such, it is a centerpiece of student life and activity.
The dramatic renovation we recognize today is part of our master plan to transform the mgm casino student experience. In keeping with our master plan, every aspect of mgm casino’s physical environment must support our students’ personal development and academic success.
The updated Student Union is a prime example of mgm casino putting our students at the heart of everything we do. Naturally, academics are the primary focus of mgm casino’s student experience. Yet, we know how important it is for our students to have a robust student experience. Gathering, socializing, getting involved in student activities, clubs, organizations all contribute to personal and academic growth, and a well-rounded campus experience.
That is why so much thought, deliberation and attention has gone into this major undertaking—including soliciting feedback from our students.
With mgm casino’s spring semester about to begin, I look forward to seeing our students take advantage of this inviting and comfortable environment.
