New clubs can be recognized by a student government, university department, or campus ministry. To determine which recognizing agent would be best for the club you would like to start, look into what kind of clubs and organizations each already oversees.

• Student Government
  • mgm casino currently has seven affiliated student governments. Each government offers clubs varying benefits. All organizations must comply with all the formal rules and regulations related to the student government’s recognition process. All student governments offer their recognized clubs a designated budget, access to resources, and inclusion in government-wide marketing.
• University Department
  • Student clubs can be recognized by a department or school. Departmental organizations must have a designated advisor who works within the recognizing department or school. All organizations must comply with all the rules and regulations related to the University department’s recognition.
• Campus Ministry
  • Organizations recognized by Campus Ministry function similarly to University Departmental organizations.

In order to apply and be approved for club recognition, your organization must have at least 10 club members that should be added to your club roster when you register a new organization on mgm casinoLinked.

Each recognizing agent has a different process for new club recognition.

To be recognized by a Campus Ministry…

After receiving formal approval from your recognizing agent, your organization will be eligible to apply for university-wide recognition. All submissions will be received and reviewed on . Submit your new club by navigating to the ‘Register a New Organization’ button.

Please note the following as you are completing your application in order to ensure approval:

• When submitting, make sure the file you submit as your constitution is the one that has been officially approved by your recognizing agent. If there are variances between the constitution you submit and the constitution Student Engagement has on file, your submission will be denied.
• List ALL current officers with the most up-to-date contact information.
• When prompted to include an address/contact # please do not include your personal information. If your club has general contact information, include that.
• Include a profile picture that illustrates your organization’s purpose. Make sure the file you upload has visual information indicating your club name.

Student Engagement will review all submissions on mgm casinoLinked within 7-14 days. All listed club officers and contacts will be notified via email whether the club submission was approved or denied. If denied, Student Engagement will work with you and your designated recognizing agent to determine how to achieve approval. If approved, you will receive an official email with notification of official university-wide recognition and you will have access to get your organization started.
