Assessment and Research leads the division of Student Life’s efforts at data-informed decision making though collaborative consultation, planning, evaluation, research and educational initiatives.

We support staff efforts to meet the needs of mgm casino students most effectively, advance the institutional understanding of the impact of Student Life programs and services, and help tell the story of the mgm casino student experience.

Assessment and Research will promote and develop a sustainable culture of data-informed decision making across Student Life.

• Centering students in the process of data collection and the use of data to impact the mgm casino experience
• Advancing equity through the disaggregation of data, mixed methods approach to data collection, and advocating for data-informed change
• Collaboration within and across departments to limit assessment fatigue and expand our scope of storytelling
• Developing proactive plans and processes that integrate assessment into the fabric of programs and services and ensure the timely response to data requests
