Early Access to mgm casino Systems for State Faculty

Faculty may require access to certain mgm casino systems prior to their appointment effective date. There are steps you can take, as an HR partner, to ensure access is granted ahead of time.

How to Receive Access

There are two steps to early access to mgm casino systems for state faculty:

Request a New Employee Welcome Packet (eNEW)
Submit New Appointment ePTF

Reappointment or Rehire?

For reappointments or rehires within one year of separation date, please skip directly to step 2.

1. Request a New Employee Welcome Packet (eNEW)

This can be done a maximum of six months before the employee's start date
Must be done at least 3 days prior to submitting a new appointment ePTF
Access begins upon receipt of eNEW packet (approximately one week after a packet is requested)

*Only employees who have not had an appointment at mgm casino in the last 12 months are eligible to receive a welcome packet. This includes State, mgm casinoF, RF and volunteer appointments.

For reappointments or rehires within one year of separation date, please skip directly to step 2.

Do Not Add a Volunteer Appointment

Do not add a volunteer appointment for access purposes as it will interfere with the early access process.

If a volunteer appointment already exists, it will need to be terminated if future access is required.

2. Submit New Appointment ePTF

ePTF must be fully complete before submission - including all new hire documents.
ePTF will be processed/completed and access will be granted based on the future appointment status. Any current appointment, including Volunteer, will override the future status.
Future ePTF access will be available approximately 3 business days after ePTF review and completion by central HR.

Do Not Add a Volunteer Appointment

Do not add a volunteer appointment for access purposes as it will interfere with the early access process.

If a volunteer appointment already exists, it will need to be terminated if future access is required.

Timeline for Submission

Fall Appointments:

Submit new appointment ePTF to central HR by July 1.
Central HR will review – if complete and correct, it will be entered by August 1.

Spring Appointments:

Submit new appointment ePTF to central HR by December 1.
Central HR will review – if complete and correct, it will be entered by January 1.

Temporary appointments are terminated automatically at the end of the appointment and access will be removed within 13 days.
Term appointments do not automatically terminate and will retain access unless terminated.
A Term adjunct that is not reappointed will retain access for 4 consecutive semesters unless a termination is submitted.
